Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Agency for Development of the Capital Market has developed a draft resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve the organization and holding of lotteries."

Based on the study of the international experience of countries, where the lottery industry is developed (USA, Great Britain, Russia, Georgia and others), an order is established according to which the state will be the single organizer of the lotteries, and the game process will be conducted by a single lottery operator selected by a Special Commission on a competitive basis (for a period for 10 years). The mechanism provides for the attraction of the best foreign companies in the field of lotteries to the Uzbek market.

It is noteworthy that the winning fund of the lottery must be at least 60% of the total amount, and part of the proceeds from the lotteries will be used to finance the implementation of projects for the development of sports, health care, education, as well as other state socially significant projects solely by decision President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The introduction of a new procedure for organizing and conducting the lottery will increase public confidence in this industry and will allow games to be played in accordance with international standards, including the principles of “responsible gambling”.
