Uzbekistan to Face China in AFC U-23 Asian Cup Quarterfinal

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s opponent in the quarterfinal of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup has been determined: it will be the China national team.

On January 14, the final matches of Group D concluded, with China drawing 0-0 against Thailand and Australia defeating Iraq 2-1. Australia finished first in the group with six points, while China placed second with five points.

The Uzbekistan team will face China on 17 January in the match for a place in the semifinals of the tournament, which is being held in Saudi Arabia.
