Uzbekistan to direct 2.246 trln. soums and US$229.6m to implement programme “The Year of attention and care of elder generation”

As reported earlier, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov approved a state programme “Year of Attention and Care for the Elder Generation” with his resolution from 18 February 2015.

According to the presidential resolution, about 310.3 billion soums will be issued from state budget and off-budget funds.

The resources of the executors and sponsors will make up 995.2 billion soums and US$4.6 million, while loans of the commercial banks – 940.3 billion soums.

It is also planned to attract resources of international organizations, financial institutions and grants for 0.7 billion soums and US$225 million.
