Uzbekistan to direct 175bn soums to water supply to population

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on ensuring efficient realization of projects on water supply and drainage in settlements due to state capital investments”.

The resolution said that Uzbekistan allocated 174.6 billion state capital investments to improving water supply and drainage services in settlements.

The resources will be directed at construction of 167 km of water pipelines, 1,162 km of networks, 296 units of wells, 480 units of water towers and reservoirs, 65 km of electricity transmission lines, 146 units of transformers, 665 units of pumps and 176 units of chlorination systems.
