Uzbekistan to create Safe City system
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a programme of phased measures to create a single hardware and software complex “Safe City” on 29 August.

Uzbek President signed a resolution “On measures to further improve the project management system in the field of information and communication technologies”.

According to the resolution, the programme will cover the whole of Uzbekistan until 2023. Uzbek leader established a commission to coordinate implementation of the project. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov headed the commission.

The project will be implemented in stages until 2023. It is expected that until 2019 the "Safe City" complex will be introduced in Tashkent, until 2021 - in the regional centers and large cities of Uzbekistan. Till 2023 the complex will cover the whole of Uzbekistan.

The Center for Information Security and Assistance in Ensuring Public Order of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications will carry out work on introduction of the complex.

According to the document, the post of Deputy Minister, responsible for timely, full-scale and high-quality implementation of the project for creation of the "Safe City" complex, is being introduced in the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications.
