Uzbekistan takes measures to combat helminthiasis among children
The document was adopted in order to further implement measures on preventing and treating helminthiasis among children.
The Government of Uzbekistan is planning to direct 9.348 billion soums of budget resources and attract US$30,000 of international organizations to realize the plan of measures.
Uzbekistan is planning to conduct laboratory diagnosis of helminthiasis among children at the age from 2 to 10. This will help to rate prevalence of children with helminthiasis and carry out necessary activities on their treatment.
There is also plan to study agents of parasitical diseases in food, water and soil, especially in kindergartens and playground. The necessary measures will be adopted to eliminate them if they revealed.
Twice a year, Uzbekistan is planning to organize and carry out preventive and treatment measures among children at the age from 2 to 10 via mass dehelmintization across the country.
The Government is planning to purchase medicaments to carry out this plan and disseminate them among kindergartens and schools in all regions of Uzbekistan.
The plan of measures also includes measures on raising medical culture of population and form their skills on public and personal sanitary and hygiene.
