Uzbekistan, South Korea discuss development of trade-economic relations

Representatives of ministries and departments, as well as business structures of two countries participated in the work of the session of the intergovernmental committee.

The Korean delegation familiarized with reforms in Uzbekistan and conditions and preferences, offered to foreign investors at special industrial zone Navoi, Jizzakh and Angren.

South Korea is a long-term and reliable strategic partner of Uzbekistan. In 2013, bilateral trade turnover exceeded US$2.1 billion.

There are about 420 joint enterprises with participation of South Korean investors in Uzbekistan. About 80 South Korean firms have their offices in Uzbekistan.
