Uzbekistan, Russia discuss security issues, situation in Central Asia

Secretary of Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov.
The sides discussed current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, including in the sphere of security. They also exchanged views on situation in Central Asia, including Afghanistan.
The parties examined the prospects for interaction between law enforcement agencies and security services, as well as the apparatuses of the Security Councils of the two countries, in particular, in the field of countering terrorism.
