The railway company transported 50.5 million tonnes to railway stations in January-September 2016. The volume of cargo turnover made up 13.68 billion tonnes/km.
Uzbekistan Temir Yollari provided export services for SU$257.7 million in nine months of 2016, which rose by 5.2% year-on-year.
Industrial enterprises of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari produced goods for 312.8 billion soums on comparable prices in January-September 2016.
The company used US$673.66 million due to all resources of financing within the investment programme.
In particular, the company completed construction of new electrified railroad Angren-Pap. The length of the line is 123.1 km. Within the project, 19.2-km tonnel of Qamchiq was constructed.
The company also commissioned 140 km electrified railway on route Samarkand-Bukhara. In the result, high-speed train Afrosiyob started to run on route Tashkent-Bukhara-Tashkent.
