Uzbekistan Railways to receive two Talgo-2016 trains in 2017
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) will receive two high-speed trains Talgo-250 in March and May 2017, a draft action strategy on further development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 said.
A draft decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On action strategy on further developing of Uzbekistan” was published at the single portal of interactive state services for discussion.
Spain’s Patentes Talgo, S.L. will deliver the first train in March 2017 and the second train in May 2017.
According to the document, Uzbekistan directed US$42 million to purchase trains. Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan allocated a loan for US$16 million. Uzbekiston Temir Yollari also directed US$26 million of own resources as well.
