Starting from 20 March 2018, passenger trains “Tashkent-Urgench” and “Tashkent-Nukus-Kungrad” started to run via new railway line, which reduced the travel time by two hours, the company said.

The Uzbek company underlined that the trains “Tashkent-Saratov”, “Tashkent-Volgograd”, “Almaty-Nukus”, “Andijan-Urgench” and “Nukus-Urgench-Termez” now run on new line.

Uzbekistan Temir Yollari began construction of Bukhara-Misken line with a length of 355 km in December 2016.

With the launch of the line, the distance between Tashkent and Urgench was reduced by 75 km. Before this, trains from Tashkent to Khorezm region run via Navoi-Uchquduq-Misken railway line.
