Uzbekistan plans to resume international communication with other countries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to gradually resume international communication with other countries of the world.

A special republican commission approved a temporary instruction on the procedure for performing regular international flights during a pandemic. The document comes into force on 1 September.

The Commission instructed the relevant authorities to take measures to gradually restore all types of international flights (air, rail and road). For this, the relevant authorities of Uzbekistan will hold negotiations with foreign countries.

In accordance with the temporary instruction, Uzbekistan is suspending the practice of issuing permits to tour operators and airlines for organizing charter flights with accommodation of foreigners in hotels on a paid basis. At the same time, previously issued permits will be valid until 1 October.

The commission also allowed vehicles registered in neighboring countries and temporarily imported into the country to leave the territory of Uzbekistan. At the same time, for foreign countries, the return period for cars has been extended until 1 November.

Uzbekistan also lifted restrictions on entry and exit of cars through checkpoints between the republic and Kyrgyzstan from 1 September.

At the same time, persons who have been in Kyrgyzstan for the last 14 days or who have a certificate of a negative PCR test for coronavirus within the last three days are not subject to quarantine control when entering Uzbekistan.

The commission’s message emphasizes that citizens of Uzbekistan who have left Kyrgyzstan and are only in the territory of this country are not subject to quarantine control upon their return to the country.

In all other cases, persons entering Uzbekistan are subject to quarantine control in accordance with the established procedure.
