Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the first nine months of 2020, Uzbekistan imported 23,100 tonnes of bananas worth US$15.3 million.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the volume of imports compared to the same of period in 2019 decreased by 1,600 tonnes or US$3.5 million.
Bananas worth US$14.8 million were imported from Ecuador, US$109,700 from Russia, US$103,100 from Kazakhstan, US$96,500 from Kyrgyzstan, US$91,400 from China and US$45,200 from Mexico.
The main import volume falls on the share of Tashkent city (11,100 tonnes), Ferghana region (6,000 tonnes) and Tashkent region (3,100 tonnes).
