Uzbekistan learns French experience in inclusive education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to study the French experience in the field of inclusive education, a delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the rector of the Jizzakh Pedagogical Institute A.Holbekov, visited France, Dunyo reported.

As part of the trip, the delegation took part in seminars organized at the Institute for the Training of Educators in Inclusive Education (INSHEA).

Following the visit, a Cooperation Agreement was signed, which envisages the creation of a center for the training and advanced training of teachers in the field of inclusive education at the Jizzakh Pedagogical Institute.

The document also indicates a number of joint measures aimed at developing inclusive education in Uzbekistan through joint research.

In addition, the parties agreed to cooperate in the framework of grants of the Erasmus + program, aimed at financing exchanges between specialists and teachers.

It should be noted that INSHEA, established in 1954, is the leading national state educational and research institution in France, providing assistance in determining and implementing the educational policy of the state in relation to people with disabilities and people with disabilities.

In turn, providing people with disabilities with secondary specialized and higher education is today one of the priorities of the state policy of Uzbekistan. In this regard, recently, the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has attached great importance to the introduction of inclusive education in the national education system, aimed at providing quality education to all children, regardless of their abilities and social status.

It should be noted that for the effective implementation of tasks in this area on December 1, 2017, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to radically improve the system of state support for persons with disabilities” was adopted, which also provides for the provision of preferential rights when entering higher education institutions for persons with disability.

In this context, the study of advanced foreign experience in this area seems to be the most relevant and relevant.
