Uzbekistan Launches Kredit-xabarnoma Alerts for Citizens
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Credit Bureau Credit Information and Analytical Center (CIAC) has launched a new service, Kredit-xabarnoma, which enables users to receive notifications about loans issued in their name, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan reported.
The service, operational since 16 March, provides alerts via SMS and push notifications, allowing users to promptly identify loans taken without their consent and continuously monitor their credit history.
To subscribe, users can access the feature through the KATM app under “Additional Services” → “Credit Alerts.” The annual subscription costs 4,614.40 soums, including VAT, with active SMS notifications.
If a user receives a notification about a loan they did not approve, the Central Bank advises checking their credit history in KATM, activating a credit self-block if necessary, and contacting the issuing bank and law enforcement authorities.
Earlier, in February, CIAC updated the KATM app, adding features to monitor borrowers for whom the user might act as a guarantor and to control the exclusion of overdue payments from credit history.
The new Kredit-xabarnoma service aims to enhance financial security and protect citizens from fraudulent credit operations.
