Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has begun developing its own national artificial intelligence (AI) model, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced during a ceremonial event dedicated to Youth Day.

In his address, the head of state emphasized that nearly one hundred AI-related projects are already being implemented across the country. These initiatives span key sectors such as banking and finance, healthcare, energy, and agriculture.

Special emphasis was placed on the creation of a national AI model, which the president described not merely as a technical product but as a digital embodiment of Uzbek culture, values, and historical heritage. He noted that this model should serve to integrate traditions with modern ambitions and become a source of inspiration for creative ideas and innovative solutions.

To support the development of skilled professionals in this high-tech field, Uzbekistan, in partnership with the United Arab Emirates, is implementing a large-scale project titled One Million AI Leaders. As part of the initiative, 100,000 young citizens of Uzbekistan are expected to receive training in the fundamentals and tools of artificial intelligence via the AI Study educational platform by the end of this year.

Through these efforts, Uzbekistan is taking confident steps toward integration into the global digital ecosystem by fostering national AI initiatives and preparing a new generation of specialists in advanced technologies.
