Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari A. Kamalov met with Deputy Chairman of the Board for Logistics of National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy P. Sokolov.
The parties discussed the development of logistics centers, increasing container traffic and creating favorable conditions for this. In particular, special attention is paid to the issues of granting preferences for redeployed cargo and volumes.
“The fact that the leadership of the railways of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan promptly resolve bilateral issues in the transport sector certainly contributes to the development of mutually trusting cooperation,” says P. Sokolov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Logistics of JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. - Despite the difficult period of the pandemic and a number of restrictions associated with it, good results have been achieved in the railway sector between the two countries in increasing mutual freight, transit and container traffic.
At the meeting, the need to further develop cooperation in the field of railway transport between our countries was emphasized.
