Uzbekistan, Japan discuss ties, upcoming contacts

On 17 December 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Fumihiko Kato.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the diplomats discussed actual issues of bilateral cooperation.
The sides also considered some aspects of realization of agreements, reached during talks of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe in October 2015 in Tashkent.
The sides exchanged opinion on schedule of upcoming Uzbek-Japanese contacts at various levels and their agenda.
