Uzbekistan increases special charge for whole-sale coal price

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 31 March 2015, from 1 January 2015 Uzbekistan sets size of the special charge at the size of 54,000 soums per tonne to whole-sale price of coal, realized by the enterprises of coal industry.

The special charge will not be implemented for the coal, realized to population or organizations, financed due to the State Budget of Uzbekistan.

The resources, received from special charge, will be directed only to modernization and development of coal industry, repayment of investment loans, as well as cover expenses on additional mining works, conducted by the enterprises of the coal industry.

The resolution said that the size of the special charge can be changed by proposals of Uzbekenergo to the Cabinet of Ministers. The size of the charge should be agreed with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan.
