Uzbekistan increases export of passenger cars by almost 1.7 times

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 11 months of this year, Uzbekistan exported 16,485 vehicles worth US$152.7 million, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The export of passenger cars increased by US$63.5 million compared to the same period of last year, that is, by 71.2%. Most cars were exported to Kazakhstan (13 812). The volume of exported cars to Kazakhstan reached US$131.9 million.

Uzbekistan exported 1,112 cars for US$8.3 million to Ukraine, 800 cars for US$6.6 million to Azerbaijan, 376 cars for US$2.2 million to Russia, 100 cars for US1.3 million to Afghanistan, 149 cars for US$1.3 million to Tajikistan and 136 cars for US$1.2 million to other states.

At the same time, in 11 months of 2020, the country imported 23,334 vehicles worth US$418.6 million.
