Uzbekistan improves legislation in field of intellectual property
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with further improving legislation on intellectual property” on 6 December 2016.
The law will help to improve protection of rights of owners of intellectual property from use of their trademarks by unfair competitors, provide fast access to businesses entities to information on registered trademarks, protection of business entities from illegal registration of trademarks.
It will also help to improve efficiency of fighting with the facts of unfair competition at markets and eliminating their consequences.
The draft law was developed with participation of professionals of the market and representatives of Agency on intellectual property.
