Uzbekistan holds 114th place in UN Human Development Index

According to the new index, Uzbekistan is on the 114th place (last year - 116th place). Human development index of Uzbekistan makes up 0.675 (last year - 0.661).

Uzbekistan is among the group with medium human development level, according to the UN Human Development Index.

Experts rate the countries on life expectancy at birth (68.4 years for Uzbekistan), mean years of schooling (10.9 years), expected years of schooling (11.5 years) and gross national income per capita (US$5,567).

Norway topped the index as in previous year. Australia, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands followed Norway in the index.
