Uzbekistan, France Expand Cooperation in Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Preschool and School Education E’zozkhon Karimova, during a visit to Paris, held talks with representatives of leading French educational and publishing institutions.

During the meetings, the parties discussed expanding the teaching of the French language within Uzbekistan’s education system, introducing modern teaching and methodological solutions, and applying advanced international practices in early childhood education.

Particular attention was given to cooperation with the publishing group Groupe Hachette Livre. The discussions explored the possibility of adapting specialized French-language textbooks in line with Uzbekistan’s national standards and current curricula.

The sides also addressed the phased introduction of modern educational materials in preschool institutions, as well as the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at improving teachers’ professional development.

In addition, Karimova held a meeting with Nathalie Lasselin, founder of Kokoro Lingua, whose activities focus on educational technologies. The parties discussed mechanisms for monitoring joint programs, developing new curricula to prepare children for school, and introducing an international certification system for preschool educators.

Among the priority areas identified was the launch of pilot French language clubs at the Kelajak centers.

Following the talks, agreements were reached to further expand practical cooperation in preschool and school education, ensure the consistent implementation of joint projects, and strengthen the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.
