Uzbekistan, France discuss settlement of situation in Afghanistan

The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic Violaine De Villemeur.
The sides considered issues related to settlement of situation in Afghanistan, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
In particular, the sides exchanged views on the upcoming international conference on Afghanistan "Peace process, cooperation in the sphere of security and regional interaction", in Tashkent.
