Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan exported gold worth about US$5.8 billion in January-August 2020, according to the data of the State Statistics Committee.

According to the state body, gold exports increased by 47.2% compared to January-August 2019. The share of gold in the structure of Uzbekistan's exports in January-August 2020 amounted to 50%.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan has increased its gold exports in recent years. The volume of gold exports in 2015 exceeded US$823.9 million, in 2016 - US$738.2 million, in 2017 - US$1.6 billion and in 2018 - US$2.91 billion and in 2019 - US$4.92 billion
