She said that small party of wine, cognac, vodka and other beverage products were sent to the US. Vostrikova said that the company is currently working on expanding exports of wine and alcohol products.
She recalled that wines, produced in Uzbekistan, were exported to Japan for the first time in 2014. At the same time, she noted that long geographic distance between Uzbekistan and markets of the US and Japan create some problems as transportation impacts to final prices of products.
Vostrikova said that Uzvinosanoat-holding exported products for about US$20 million in 2014. Main markets for wine and alcohol products of Uzbekistan are Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Georgia and others.
She underlined that current main goal of the company is to satisfy internal market with own products and expand exports.
