Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 December 2020, Uzbekistan imported 31,900 tonnes of bananas from foreign countries. This is 3,400 tonnes less than in the same period of last year. This year, bananas were imported to Uzbekistan mainly from Ecuador (29,800 tonnes).

According to the State Committee on Statistics, the countries that most import bananas to Uzbekistan over the past 11 months:

Ecuador – 29,800 tonnes;

Russia – 624.9 tonnes;

Kazakhstan – 548.3 tonnes;

China – 231.2 tonnes;

Kyrgyz Republic – of 223.5 tonnes;

Turkey – 213.5 tonnes.

In November of this year, 5,400 tonnes of bananas were imported.
