Uzbekistan completes investment projects for US$5.2 billion.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan completed the implementation of 164 projects with a total value of US$5.2 billion within the framework of the investment programme for 2016, the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek ministry said that implementation of the projects helped to create 5,320 new jobs.
It added that nine projects were implemented in the oil and gas industry, 20 projects - in the non-ferrous metallurgy, 5 projects - in the electricity sector, 3 projects - in the mechanical engineering industry, 16 projects - in the electrical sector, 17 projects - in light industry and 94 projects - in other sectors.
