He said that Afghanistan imports products worth US$6.5 billion. According to him, Uzbekistan in future can supply almost half of this volume to the Afghan market.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the volume of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan made up US$617 million in 2017, which is 18.7% higher compared to 2016. The volume of Uzbekistan’s exports to Afghanistan last year amounted to US$614.9 million.

Uzbekistan and Afghanistan agreed to bring the trade turnover between the countries to US$1.5 billion.
