Uzbekistan, Belarus discuss cooperation in textile sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to discuss further prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation and industrial cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus, on 12 February 2021, the management of Uztextileprom Association held online talks with the Bellegprom Concern, headed by the Deputy Chairman Vadim Lamkov. 

The meeting was attended by representatives of sectoral management bodies, as well as more than 30 representatives of Uzbek and Belarusian companies.

During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation and interaction between the Association and the Concern were discussed, the results of 2020 were summed up, the progress in the implementation of the Action Plan (Roadmap) for 2021-2022 on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding and expansion of cooperation between enterprises of the textile and garment knitwear industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus.

At the same time, they discussed the issues of increasing the supply of cotton yarn from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In addition, the issues of the visit of the delegation of the Concern Bellegprom headed by the Chairperson Lugina Tatyana Alekseevna in April this year were discussed.

Following the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Bellegprom Concern V. Lamkom emphasized the high level of interaction between organizations and the interest in its further development
