Uzbekistan appoints new envoy to Iran

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan appointed its Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Bakhodir Abdullayev was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On 4 September 2015, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran Bakhodir Abdullayev left Tashkent for Tehran.

Prior to appointment, he worked at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
