Uzbekistan and UAE Strengthen Cooperation in Trade, Investment, and Sustainable Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi.

According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE, as well as ways to deepen cooperation in key sectors including trade, investment, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability. Special attention was given to the role of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 as a global platform for promoting international engagement in sustainable development.

Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations, emphasizing the shared commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation in areas that contribute to sustainable economic growth and development. The parties also exchanged views on current regional and international developments.

The meeting was also attended by UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei.
