Uzbekistan and Türksat Discuss Telecom Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Türkiye’s Türksat A.Ş. have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in telecommunications and digital infrastructure.
On 1 April, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Akram Aliyev met with Omer Shamil Achba, Director of Business Development and Marketing for satellite systems at Türksat A.Ş.
Founded in 1990, Türksat A.Ş. is one of Türkiye’s leading satellite communication operators, providing services across Europe, Asia, and Africa. The company delivers integrated solutions for government and private clients in television broadcasting, internet services, and data transmission based on advanced satellite and cable infrastructure.
During the talks, the parties explored opportunities for cooperation in telecommunications, satellite communications, and the development of digital infrastructure, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding partnership, exchanging expertise, and deepening collaboration within the framework of digital transformation. The Uzbek side also reaffirmed its readiness to support the company’s initiatives and facilitate their practical implementation.
