A delegation of Uzbekistan led by the First Deputy of Prime-Minister of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the event.

The sides discussed strategic directions of bilateral cooperation where fuel and energy sector is one of the most important, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Uzbekistan expressed its willingness to take an active part in formation of new transport and transit corridor Central Asia – Middle East (Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Iran – Oman), which implementation would allow to increase international transit cargo traffic and provide another essential route to the world markets.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discussed issues of developing relations in cultural and humanitarian sphere. The side supported intensification of scientific and educational contacts and development of cooperation in sports and tourism.
The sides confirmed their intent to expand business contacts, which are promoted by regular bilateral meetings on different levels.
