Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan Discuss Road Infrastructure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Ashgabat, Uzbek Ambassador Ravshanbek Alimov met with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Highways, Hangeldi Kerimov, to discuss bilateral cooperation in road construction and the development of transport and transit corridors between the two countries, according to Dunyo news agency.
The talks focused on the adoption of modern technologies in the road sector, digital management of infrastructure projects, bridge design and transport solutions, as well as the exchange of expertise in other areas of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to intensify practical cooperation, including mutual visits, specialist-level working meetings, and the implementation of joint projects.
It was noted that the construction and commissioning of the Ashgabat–Turkmenabad expressway will enhance trade volumes and freight transportation between the two countries, while also strengthening international transport and transit routes.
