Uzbekistan and Türkiye Discuss Expanding Cooperation and Joint Project Plans for 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 January, Munira Aminova, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Esin Açar Ergin, Head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Turkish cooperation. They discussed opportunities for implementing new joint projects in Uzbekistan, as well as plans for collaboration in 2026, including exploring new areas and forms of partnership.

Special attention was given to expanding cooperation in education. In this context, both sides expressed interest in involving Turkish teachers and specialists in educational initiatives in Uzbekistan, promoting experience exchange, and developing human capital.

Priority areas of collaboration also include healthcare, agriculture, and projects aimed at preserving and promoting Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual readiness to further deepen partnership and strengthen friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
