In pursuance of the Protocol of the Joint Meeting of the Uzbek-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan, signed on 24 February 2018 in the city of Ferghana, at the meeting the working groups of the parties prepared annexes to the draft agreement between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on selected sections of the Uzbek-Tajik State Border.

According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the parties intend to sign this agreement during the upcoming state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan.

Following the meeting, the Protocol was signed.
