Uzbekistan and Russia strengthen cooperation in agricultural engineering
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road-Building Machinery Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Korchevoi, met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzagrotekhsanoatholding" Nodir Otajonov.

Negotiations were organized to implement the agreements reached within the framework of the last visit of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov to the Republic of Uzbekistan in October 2017.

The parties discussed the delivery of agricultural machinery, including soil cultivation and sowing equipment for food and processing industries, as well as construction, road and municipal equipment for construction and maintenance of roads in the city of Tashkent.

Particular attention was paid to implementation of the Agreement on establishment of a joint assembly production of agricultural equipment between the JSC "Chirchik plant of agricultural machinery" and LLC "KZ" Rostselmash. "

The parties said that implementation of the joint project will allow Uzbekistan to modernize the technical base of the farms of the Republic, and the Rostselmash plant - to expand its presence not only in Uzbekistan, but also in Central Asia.

This, in turn, will promote the export of agricultural machinery to third countries bordering with the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is in line with the goals and objectives defined in the Export Development Strategy for the Agricultural Machinery Industry until 2025.

In turn, Nodir Otanyonov stressed that the development of joint production is an important stage in the deepening of bilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the organization of joint production in the territory of the republic will allow reducing the cost of agricultural equipment for Uzbek farmers and stimulating its sale.
