Uzbekistan and Pakistan Discuss Joint Investments in the Pharmaceutical Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on 3 February 2026, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Abdulla Azizov, held working meetings in Karachi with the leadership of Nabiqasim Industries and PharmEvo.

The negotiations, conducted within the framework of expanding Uzbekistan–Pakistan cooperation in the pharmaceutical field, focused on the conditions established in Uzbekistan to attract foreign direct investment in the pharmaceutical industry.

The parties discussed existing government support measures and incentives for investors, as well as practical opportunities to establish production facilities within the Tashkent Pharma Park pharmaceutical cluster.

As a result of the meetings, the sides agreed to promote joint investment projects in Uzbekistan, develop modern production capacities, and advance bilateral cooperation into practical implementation with a focus on long-term partnership.
