Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Expansion of Agricultural Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the “Italy – Central Asia (C5) + Azerbaijan” business forum, a meeting took place between Kazakh Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ermek Kenjehanuly and Uzbek Minister of Agriculture Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov.
The parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, exchanging expertise on modern technologies and sustainable farming practices, as well as joint measures to adapt to climate change and reduce environmental risks.
Special focus was given to the development of agricultural product processing, including grains, legumes, and oilseeds, as well as increasing the production and mutual supply of meat and dairy products.
The Kazakh side noted that implementing the agreements reached would strengthen food security, enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products, and expand export opportunities.
Both parties confirmed their readiness to further develop strategic partnership and implement joint projects in the agro-industrial sector.
