Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officials of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel held a meeting in the format of a video conference, Dunyo news agency reported.
According to the ministry, the negotiations were organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel.
The online dialogue was dedicated to the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of vocational education and training of migrant workers, as well as cooperation between the two countries in the field of labor migration.
At the meeting, an explanation was given about the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan from 15 September 2020 “On measures to introduce a system of safe, orderly and legal labor migration”.
According to the document, a new system is being introduced in our country, which provides for the training of citizens in foreign languages and professions before sending them to work abroad, free vocational training for migrants working abroad, as well as the protection of their rights and legal interests, consulting services, as well as social and legal assistance.
The parties exchanged views on Israel's experience in regulating labor migration, promoting employment and protecting workers.
