Uzbekistan and Germany Strengthen Cooperation in Economy and “Green” Energy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 February, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katharina Reiche.

The parties highlighted the dynamic growth of economic cooperation between the two countries. In recent years, trade volume between Uzbekistan and Germany has doubled, while the joint investment portfolio has exceeded US$10 billion.

Particular attention was paid to expanding collaboration in “green” energy, industry, critical raw materials, and labor mobility.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to intensify dialogue on trade and investment issues and to promote specific projects within the framework of upcoming bilateral business events.
