Uzbekistan and Dubai’s QE2 Academy Agree on Training Tourism Specialists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 December, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev visited the Queen Elizabeth II Hospitality Academy in Dubai, the region’s first professional academy dedicated to training personnel for the tourism sector.

Academy Director Patrick Coudin proposed establishing cooperation to train specialists for cruise ships and hotels in Uzbekistan. Discussions also covered opportunities for direct collaboration with the Samarkand Silk Road University, Tashkent College of Tourism, and the Agency for Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed online, opening new prospects for professional training of personnel in the country’s tourism industry.
