Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Open International Center for Strategic Development and Agricultural Research under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where Deputy Minister Akmal Kosimov met with representatives from Dalian Ocean University, China.

The parties noted the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing positive trends in the agricultural sector and the establishment of a solid foundation for implementing new joint initiatives.

The main focus of the discussions was the development of aquaculture, including educational programs, advanced training for specialists, and the exchange of scientific and practical expertise.

Special attention was given to innovative fish farming methods suitable for arid regions, the organization of professional development courses, and the training of specialized personnel.

Deputy Minister Akmal Kosimov confirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to fully support these initiatives, reinforcing trust and the prospects of partnership.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare specific proposals and implement joint projects in stages, aimed at developing aquaculture, ensuring sustainable use of water resources, and creating new economic opportunities in Uzbekistan.
