Uzbekistan and China Discuss Pharmaceutical Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 April 2026, officials from the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan held an online meeting with representatives of the Chinese company "Beijing Huahe International Business Consulting Co., Ltd."

The Chinese firm maintains an extensive network of partnerships within the pharmaceutical sector, collaborating with more than 30 companies, including "Sinopharm," one of China's leading organizations.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed key areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in medicine and pharmaceuticals. The agenda included the supply and localization of medical equipment, the import and production of pharmaceutical products, technology transfer, and the implementation of joint projects. Additionally, the organization of contract manufacturing and strategies for entering regional and international markets were examined.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to the consistent development of cooperation, the formulation of specific projects, and the maintenance of active engagement in the future.
