The press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry noted that the meeting was held on the initiative of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Afghanistan.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on implementation of shore protection works along the Amudarya.

Suggestions were made for exchanging experience and organizing regular meetings at the level of representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Afghanistan.
