He said that the delegation of Afghanistan led by Special Representative of the President of Afghanistan to CIS states Shaker Kargar paid a visit to Uzbekistan to participate in the session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
Within the visit, the delegation of Afghanistan also held meetings and negotiations with officials of Uzbekistan, he said.
In the result of the session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, the sides signed a protocol on cooperation, within which the sides agreed to develop cooperation in energy, transport, trade and transit, Ahmad Shekib Mostaghni noted.
The document envisages preparation of intergovernmental message on opening flights of airlines of two states between Kabul and Tashkent.
The protocol envisages that the Uzbek side will consider participation of construction of railway "Mazar-e-Sharif – Heart" in southern-western Afghanistan.
Uzbekistan and Afghanistan will also hold joint industrial exhibitions in Tashkent and Kabul respectively, he noted.
The sides also agreed to hold next session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Afghanistan.
