Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 March 2021, on social networks under the title "Having bought a ticket in Samarkand for US$1200, we could not fly out," which says that several passengers were not allowed on the flight. This was reported by the Information Service of Uzbekistan Airports.
On this fact, the following should be noted: firstly, none of the 11 airports included in Uzbekistan Airports is authorized to sell air tickets. Secondly, tickets for charter flights organized in the context of a pandemic are also sold through the representative offices of airlines of foreign countries (depending on the country of destination of the flight).
In addition, representatives of airlines allow only passengers on the list to fly, as well as those whose documents are provided at the proper level. Airport employees are not involved in these processes. In addition, Uzbekistan Airports would like to note that the airport employees have nothing to do with the sale of air tickets or the organization of charter flights.
It turned out that the main reason for the refusal by the Russian airline to take off 29 passengers (out of 131 passengers) traveling on the Sheremetyevo-Samarkand-Sheremetyevo route was the provision of an incomplete list of requested documents and their falsification.
Uzbekistan Airports reminds that all documents required for the departure of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation are checked and registered in accordance with the established procedure by representatives of the airline Aeroflot.
Uzbekistan’s international airports only provide their services at the time of arrival and departure of passengers.
