Uzbek Tour Operators to Receive US$100 per Tourist from Malaysia and Indonesia under Umra Plus Program

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has registered regulations providing subsidies to local tour operators attracting tourists from Malaysia and Indonesia under the Umra Plus pilgrimage tourism program. The document was entered into the state registry under number 3784 on 4 March 2026.

Under the new rules, each tourist traveling to or returning from Umrah from Malaysia or Indonesia entitles the tour operator to a subsidy of US$100.

To participate, tour operators can submit applications via the Public Service Centers (PSCs) or the my.gov.uz portal. Application submission and review are free of charge.

The Tourism Committee reviews applications within ten business days. Upon approval, the subsidy is transferred to the applicant within five business days.

Funds are provided only for tourists arriving from Malaysia or Indonesia, traveling to Umrah in Saudi Arabia or returning from it, and staying in Uzbekistan for at least three nights.

The Umra Plus program is valid until December 31, 2026, aiming to promote pilgrimage tourism and support local operators in attracting foreign tourists.
