Uzbek Paralympic athletes win six medals at Asian Games
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Athletes of Uzbekistan claimed six medals at the Asian Para Games in Guangzhou, China, as of 18 December 2010.
Before the final day of the Games, Uzbekistan won a gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
Alisher Usmanov clinched an only goal medal of Uzbekistan in Men’s 800 m. Khusniddin Norbekov won a silver medal (12.96 meters) in Men’s Shot Put.
In Men’s Long Jump, 16 year old Doniyor Saliev showed the third result with 5.96 meters. Uzbekistan team was third in Men's 4x100m Relay.
Judokas Sharif Halilov (73 kg) and Hasan Kasimov (81 kg) claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.
